An Act to consolidate the laws relating to food and to establish the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import, to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Kerala Professional Colleges or Institutions (Prohibition of Capitation Fee, Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Equity and Excellence in Professional Education) Act, 2006
An Act to provide for prohibition of capitation fee, regulation of admission, fixation of non-exploitative fee, allotment of seats to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other socially and economically backward classes and other measures to ensure equity and excellence in professional education and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
WHEREAS, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that where there is more than one minority or non-minority institution or similarly situated institution in the State imparting education in any one discipline, then a single common entrance test followed by centralized counselling or in otherwords single window system of admission is necessary in order to achieve the twin objectives of transparency and merit and further has held that the State can take over the admission procedure to ensure that it is fair, transparent and non-exploitative;

Kerala Forest (Vesting and Management of Ecologically Frangible lands) Act, 2003
An Act to provide for the vesting in the Government of ecologically fragile lands in the State of Kerala and for the management of such lands with a view to maintaining ecological balance and conserving the bio-diversity.
WHEREAS the earth's biological reassurances with their intrinsic ecological, genetic, economic, social, cultural, scientific, educational, recreational and aesthetic values are global assets and public trust vital to the sustained economic and social development, maintenance of ecological balance and the very existence of humanity;
AND WHEREAS the fundamental requirement for the conservation of biological diversity is the insitu conservation of ecosystems and natural habitats and the maintenance and recovery of viable populations of species in their natural surroundings.

Rules
Kerala Registration of Marriages (Common) Rules, 2008
WHEREAS, the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in its judgment dated 14-2-2006, in Seema v. Ashwinikumar (2006 (1) KLT 791 SC), has directed all State Governments to issue Rules for making registration of marriages solemnized in the respective States compulsory, irrespective of the religion after calling objection and suggestion;
AND WHEREAS, the Government of Kerala, in response to the Draft Kerala Registration of Marriages (Common) Rules, 2006 published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1835 dated 16-11-2006, have received various objections and suggestions from the general public, religious denominations. Department Heads etc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Government of Kerala, after considering all objections and suggestions hereby publish "The Kerala Registration of Marriages (Common) Rules, 2008" for the information of the general public, namely:-
